USED ENGINE Installation requirements for used engines Before installing, kindly read Before installing and running recycled or used engines, there are a few processes that must be followed. It is always necessary to carry out specific inspections, replace accessories, and carry out regular maintenance to ensure uninterrupted functioning. To make things easier for you, some used engine parts and components have been left attached. The expert installer is responsible for the replacement of components and accessories, although these extras could save you time during installation. The engine block is left with all parts, replacement accessories, and wear-and-tear items for your convenience, but they are not covered by the warranty. Please feel free to visit our website for further information and questions about warranties. TO AVOID THE MOST COMMON CAUSES OF FAILURES, PLEASE FOLLOW OUR PRE-INSTALLATION CHECK LIST! Pre-installation inspections Determine what caused the initial engine failure and fix it appropriately. Verify whether the replacement engine is compatible. Before installation, clear all computer diagnostic codes. Examine and replace any required gaskets and seals (front seal, rear main seal, valve cover gaskets, oil pan, and oil pan gasket and pick up tube with an O-ring). To prevent leaks, put sealant on the crankshaft bolts that have been bored through. Replace the gasket and thermostat. Remove all orifice covers and cap plugs. Replace the water pump as well as the hoses, clamps, belts, and timing belt. Replace the wires and UNITED USED AUTO PARTS plugs. Change the bolts and flywheel. To ensure a correct fit, swap out additional accessory parts such mounts, the distributor, the intake and exhaust manifolds, and the sensors. Replace the coolant, oil, air filter, fuel filter, and oil filter (anti-freeze). Make that the cooling system has been cleaned and is operating effectively. Please remove any extra coolant and oil from the exhaust system. Radiator or external cooler replacement is necessary for engines with oil coolers. After the installation has traveled 1,000 miles, the engine oil and filter must be changed. A regular oil, fluid, and filter change schedule should adhere to manufacturer recommendations. Throughout the warranty period, original service records from accredited service centers must be preserved. Records of personal maintenance are not allowed.
